Welcome to Our Southeast Michigan Flower Farm

Hello! I’m Diane Day, owner/operator of a boutique flower farm in southeast Michigan. Growing pretty posies is my passion for so many reasons.
Most importantly: “Flowers put a smile on our face!”
They uplift our mood, create a welcoming space and giving flowers strengthens connections with family and friends.
That’s why I believe everyone deserves the simple joy of flowers! And why I offer flowers at affordable prices. So you can enjoy nature’s bounty everyday and share them with family and friends.
Come visit our southerneast Michigan flower farm located in the quaint city of Hudson MI during the growing season! Nestled along Bean Creek, we grow over 50 varieties of beautiful blooms on about 2 acres of our 3 acre backyard. In addition, we have a flower design studio at the house where we create beautiful, bespoke bouquets for delivery or pick up by appointment.
.
We also grow fragrant herbs, a few fruit trees, berry bushes and other ornamentals including: pumpkins, glass gem Indian corn and so much more. There is nothing more seasonal than filling a pumpkin with sun-kissed sunflowers, violet salvia and scented cinnamon basil for a fabulous fall bouquet! Chances are, you won’t find these beauties at your local florist.
Fun Activities at Our Boutique Farm

We think you’ll enjoy several fun and unique activities in our flower fields:
U Pick Flowers
Flower Farm Workshops
Group Visits
Roadside Flower Stand
Pictured above, I test new varieties every season to assess their marketability, vase life and other important characteristics. This helps me to add new and exciting colors, textures and scents each year.
Bee-Friendly, Eco Farming Practices
I put my heart and soul into green growing. Sustainable farming practices foster healthy ecosystems and biodiversity. So, my flower farm is eco-friendly.
That’s why I don’t use harmful pesticides. To suppress harmful insects, disease and weeds, I use cover crops, beneficial insects, crop rotation and more.
This is another good reason to purchase local flowers from my southeast Michigan flower farm, instead of those shipped in from overseas.
Pictured on right is one of many Monarch caterpillars feeding on a patch of swampy milkweed growing in our fields.

In the morning sunshine, I love walking through the flower fields buzzing with birds, butterflies and bees.

I love growing flowers and bringing a smile to someone’s face. Although farming isn’t as glamorous as it looks–it’s hard work–we do take time off to smell the flowers. The picture above captures one of those special moments. My granddaughter is “helping” me cut tulips!
And oh my, they sure do grow up fast! My granddaughter is now “practicing” to drive our 1937 Farmall F12 tractor — a fun antique farm ornament. And for the tractor enthusiasts: Yes! It still runs. And to update–I now have 4 grandchildren!
Happy Harvesting, Diane Day
